FD - RX7s are awesome. Too bad the engine has a glass jaw. But when they are propperly sorted out there is not a better car to race with on an autocross. I have loved Mazda's since I first tooled around in my parents turboed '88 626. If they ever bring a real RX-7 back to the states, I might have to buy it. Also, is it just me, or is the FD gaining on you at the end there. AWD FTW quite litterally in this case.

wow... i know they're good on a track but i feel like you'd be rowing the gears too much trying to keep it in the power for an autoX

No that's just the way things look. That's why I was saying I put the flashers on when the race is over.

LS1 RX7 FTW. All the great things of the RX7 chassis without the anemic, unreliable motor. If only I had the money, I honestly think that is one of the best all around cars there are...but I am a bit biased.

Well .. they overheated all the time(FD3S) and thus blowing apex seals... a real pain in the butt but overcoming that, theese cars are awesome because of their power to weight distribution i mean even their stock wheels were massively light which interestingly enough I've seen people using them at the drag strips.

the problem is... how much more does that setup weigh... i bet the transmission alone weighs about as much as the stock engine and tranny
thus losing some of its coolness

how bout tossing a boxxer in there

Nope no launch control. A 2 step can be added with the Utec, but I never had it hooked up. Thanks for the compliments
