Very cool video

Did I understand that right that it's internally gated?
I heard him mention something about "no creep at all"...

The DominatorIII is a Ball bearing unit. FP3575 is standard journal bearing. Thats why ours costs more.

We will be getting some racing footage very soon. I burned up my clutch the first time out with this new set-up, so I had to get a new one put in. the old one was slipping a little before the new turbo but I was hoping to get a couple runs out of it before I had to replace it. That didn't happen, it slipped on the way to the track, at the track, and on the way home. Very disappointing night after being excited about the new turbo. Plus it has pretty much rained every time I could go to the track. So, hopefully the weather is nice on the 9th and I will get some more videos for you guys.

Would this turbo fit under topmount? I know you would sacrifice a little power but spool looks pretty awesome with this turbo.

Thanks Mike

on your website it says "This turbocharger is NOT a bolt on upgrade for WRX/STI since it requires special oil feed, oil drain and coolant pipe hardware for the Garrett ball bearing center housing."

so the dominator is, or is not a direct bolt-on turbo for the wrx/sti ?
only asking this because the name of this thread is "My BOLT-ON GT30R Turbo"

it is a direct bolt-on. it is installed on my car. they will make the oil lines for the turbo so that it will bolt on correctly. I was the first person to have this fitted to an STi, so they know how the oil lines have to be for it to just bolt on.

WRX/STI Dominator III Performance Ball Bearing Turbocharger (520 HP)

The Dominator III performance turbocharger for the WRX/STI utilizes the latest Garrett GT full ball bearing technology with a Garrett GT compressor wheel capable of supporting 520 HP maximum. The turbine section utilizes the latest Garrett GT high flow turbine technology and a 7cm 2 nozzle area turbine housing with an internal wastegate port and wastegate actuator installed. The turbine housing is ported and polished in the turbine inlet throat and wastegate port areas to improve exhaust gas flow and boost control via the internal gate. The center housing contains a water jacket and requires special coolant lines to fit the WRX/STI application. Optional actuators are available for this turbocharger in pressures ranging from 10 to 19 PSIG. This turbocharger is NOT a bolt on upgrade for WRX/STI since it requires special oil feed, oil drain and coolant pipe hardware for the Garrett ball bearing center housing.

the only people who know that the dominator is a gt30r are the people who have spoken directly with mike. there is no reference to the dominator being a gt30r on the blouch site. the confusion is predictable.

I know we havent updated our old site to reflect the Dominator III as being a bolt on since a our new site will be up in the next week or so. Just so everyone knows the Dominator III is a direct bolt on unless you choose to have the 3inch inlet cover.
