| Junior STI Driver | Is that the same IS 300 that was embarrased by the Technique Tuning Stage I M3? I remember a dark blue turbo IS 300 with a loud external wastegate. That video debuted on bimmerforums a month or so back and got a lot of comments from bf.c members, mostly referring to the "wigga" talk from the passenger in the IS300 recording the video. He was thoroughly impressed by the M3. I feel sorry for the owner of the IS300. Why would anyone turbo an automatic and then make it even heavier with audio/video equipment. If he is building a show car because he is either too lazy to drive manual or just doesn't know how, then he shouldn't be racing from the factory turbo AWD cars and have the embarrassment on video .... AGAIN! BTW, the IS300 is tuned way too rich. I know he is on stock compression but he could easily get away AFRs in the high 11s to low 12s with some retard in timing or advance the timing and run some water/alky with maybe 12 psi. If he does in fact have 2JZGTE bottom end internals then he should be able to do so safely. That and the slushbox parasitic drivetrain loss make that car easily the slowest of the bunch in those vids. What turbo is bolted on that altezza anyways? |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (2) | "alright so my friend MOIZ with the black turbo IS300 is now "fixed" and running faster then ever he wants me to round up all the fast cars for tommarrow nigth at the superfresh parkign lot( the normal wendsday spot byt taco bell and dukin donuts) so anyone and everyone lets meet up tommarrow night, and bring out some fast cars " copied from my nj forum http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...ad.php?t=14097 so if your in jersey and really want a good meet of all diff kinda of kids ( 18-25) age and cars then go for it, and it sounds like some good races tommarrow as well |
