I did like I said and removed the avc-r boost solenoid and ran a line straight from the compressor outlet to the side of the ewg, now I see 14psi. Nice and safe while I tweak AFR's. I'm going to take the opportunity to put the BigMAF back on and get it tuned for that, since I was maxing out the stock MAF at ~20psi.

I also found and fixed a leak on the turbo oil feed line, it was leaking a little right at the turbo housing. Turns out that we forgot to put any sort of thread sealant on it. It's all good now.

The car feels slow on 14psi but about the same as when I was stage2, just a little more laggy. I'm going to put the boost controller back on tomorrow and run all new vacuum lines, I think one was leaking before.

when i spoke with jeff at perrin all he said that i needed for the oil line to the turbo was the reducer for that line and i should be fine without any sealent.. needles to say i had to put sealent on the threads and everything is good now for the leak but im still seeing 16-17 psi on the spring. hmm unless my gauge is off but i also stuck the cobb to read boost and it read 16.1 psi interesting to get feedback from someone else with the same kit, also do you have problems with your car stalling out at idle sometimes when coming to a stop? i do sometimes.

I have some stalling problems, but I thought it was only because my stock BPV isn't recirculated. When I installed the perrin turbo kit, I didn't realize that I was supposed to re-use the stock recirculation hose, so I cut up the stocker.

I also lost the oil restrictor when I first installed the turbo kit, but realized it before I tried starting the car - Jeff sent me a new one for free. That thing is tiny and the instructions call it a "brass gasket" so it's easy to lose.

so then you still have the stalling problems? because when i had the same BOV on my TMIC everything was fine.. maybe it could be the colder plugs or something, i tried to up my idle but with the 06s we cant do that with the protuner or the ecutec. SUCKS! i just hope that when i put the new motor mounts in that MIGHT be a part of the problem from not having good transfew from the motor pulling up =( crazy

Oh my that seemed like one quick car. The was the borla hush catback? WOW. And you want to get the 3.5" APS TBE? That is going to sound insanely loud. But since you've a GT35R on there, I guess you ought to

For the record, my car was overboosting with the AVC-R turned off because it was hooked up wrong. See this thread from post 10 downward After hooking up the solenoid correctly I had 14.7psi with the boost controller turned off. I have a nice 20psi 93oct tune I've been working on now. If weather permits I'll make a couple 1/4mi passes tomorrow

Which intake are you running--the one that comes with the Perrin? Did you just clamp down a shorty on to the end or something to get the stock MAF sized maf housing to fit?

The stock-sized MAF tube that I'm using came with my xspower fmic. It fits right in the end of the Perrin intake. I'm using the cone filter that came with my old Injen CAI.

I went to the dragstrip today but we got rained out... hopefully I can make a couple passes next wednesday.

I decided to tune AFR's and timing before tuning for the BigMAF. If I put the bigmaf on right away it would have made tuning a lot harder. With that said I'm just about done with afr's and timing and will start tuning for the bigmaf tomorrow...

When done, I'd like to see a plot of your big maf calibration.

I saw Nick's response to your question about the 10%, but I have to wonder if the curve will be linear.

Good job on the tune.

BTW, I plan on getting my cobb stage 2 protuned at XX hopefully within a month. If you are going to get yours dynotuned, please post it here so that if I am free maybe I can watch.
