The Forester wasn't entirely stock. It has a Milltek exhaust system (3" with a sports cat). It is also has a Tek3 remap, partly to use UK fuel with lower octane than Japanese fuel and partly to give it more power than the conservative OEM map. This gives it more power and torque than the Impreza.

The Impreza was on RE070's, while the Forester was on RE030's. Neither of those is all that suitable for pouring rain, but the RE030's are not very good anyway. The Impreza has DCDD, the Forester doesn't.

Damn, I'll take your word for it, but that kinda makes annoys me to think that a forester has the same block as the STi, thanks subaru lol. Does this mean that the legacy gt also has the same block?

I have a stack of Fifth Gears on my DVR and I can say, after watching every one twice or more, Vicky knows how to wring a car out. She may not be as quick as Tiff, but I'd be willing to bet she's quicker around a circuit than most of us here.

Asbestos undies on, but think about the majority of STi owners, not just those that race...
