haha, I tried! After having fun at the dragstrip, I turned the keys over to Doug to take back to TopSpeed for the new engine build, and he gave it his best as well. She just keeps ticking! I'm going to buy a purty engine stand to put my stock block on, and it's going to be a novelty item for my garage!

100+ dyno pulls
2 blown meth pumps
33 psi!!!

haha, thanks! we were 1 spark plug away from running a 10sec qtr mile. I'll get there this summer.

not to dog on this amazing acomplishment, but dont you think that ( and nothing against doug cause he is a great tuner from what i hear) Topspeeds dyno reads very high?

keep in mind I was trapping 101mph in the 8th before having some serious top end issues, my car sounded like the 4th of july in 4th/5th gear due to a bad plug. TopSpeeds dyno does not read high, but it also doesnt read low. Take this into consideration, the fastest STi in the upper 48 states ran 10.9 at 137mph, 103mph in the 8th, and dyno'd at 678whp. My car dyno'd 590whp and trapped 2mph lower in the 8th, and has 88whp less.

Hopefully this information will squash all the rumors that "TopSpeed has a high reading dyno." 101mph in the 8th is enough evidence to support the 590whp, even with a bad spark plug. We kept thinking the engine was knocking/detonating, but we unplugged the knock sensor and the car still had huge hesitation problems at the top end of the track, that's when we discovered it was a spark issue.

thanks, but the lag is minimal. you'd be very surprised, no one has ever gotten out of my car and said "it's laggy."

I also forgot to mention we were using VP Import Race Gas 130 octane/$20 gallon. Seems to make a big diff!!!
