Just another Saturday at TDC tuning

so i went up to tdc tuning this past saturday to get my defis installed and have some other stuff done. a bunch of cool people showed up for some dyno pulls, etc. a black evo 8 did some pulls (~ 324 whp), as did a audi a4 (~ 260 whp), and abdi's 04 stage 2 sti was being protuned. well wouldn't you know, some guys next door wanted people to race and this is the result! this is on private property and the area is controlled, so no traffic comes through.

first up is jon (the owner/tuner/mechanic of tdc tuning) in his lgt putting up about 250 whp vs the black evo 8 with 324 whp. sounds like it should be an easy win....well it was....for jon! let's just say jon got a good launch and the evo didn't. the camera work is shotty because i was shocked by the outcome and forgot i was filming. watch the evo donuts at the end too!

next up is abdi's stage 2, 04 sti driven by one of the shop owner's next door vs. an audi a4 with about 260 whp. it was a close race, but the audi took it. fyi, it looks like they might wreck at the end, but they don't. i ran out of memory at the end of the run. this would probably be a different result after abdi's protune. it also wasn't the driver's car, so i think he took it a little easy.
p.s. if you slow the film down, you can see jon try to get out of the way while holding my defis!

jon's legacy is pretty nasty. basically stock, except for a short ram, headers, his own custom exhaust and his own tuning.

overall, a pretty cool day. saw a mini van doing a burnout in the lot. a guy beating on a broken down mazda protege (one of many cars on hand for that purpose). shot the $hite with people. jon also does great work/tuning at an amazing price!

the funny thing is the evo has about 80whp on the lgt....and still lost. guess the driver does make a little bit of a difference

That was a pretty tight place to race. I would have issues with that.
