I thought it sounded good. The 3.5 will flow better than the 3 with a larger turbo. Most people choose the three if they are sticking with the stock turbo because of the noise level with the 3.5. On stock turbo it is a good question whether or not it makes more power than the catless 3. How much power did you make on dyno comp's dyno?

When I tuned it I only had the exhaust and ECUTek. the numbers were
280whp 300wtq.... 385hp, 411tq at the flywheel.

That is pretty good, considering Richard typically tunes conservatively and it is a low reading dyno. He says he usually makes around 275hp with the 3, high flow cat, and a drop in filter.

Did you notice a difference when you put the CAI in without the tune?

There wasnt a considerable difference. The sound is way different. you can hear the turbo spool and the bpv. I didnt get it tuned after putting it on. Ill prolly wait till i get something else done to tune it again. Or unless i come across some extra money i might do it now. Not sure yet

Why does everyone think this type of exhaust sound is good. That thing sounds like its making popcorn in there. If you shut your eyes, you cant tell whether or not its a 74 chevy pickup with cherry bomb glass packs or an STI with a grapefruit shooter....

Ah.....im sorry, im just frustrated an bitter because im looking for an exhaust thats relatively loud but very smooth and bassy. I cant seem to find any reliable video clips when iv searched. Sorry about the vent..... To each his own i guess. Love the car though....looks good!

^^You might try the Borla XR-1...my buddy just got his and it's bassy and sounds real nice. Not too loud either.
