Default Worlds Fastest STI........No not Big Valley

Theres a video of a Subaru WRX running a 8.598 @ 155.76 MPH in the quarter mile. These numbers make it the worlds fastest WRX. Are these numbers better than the fastest STI quarter mile time? I havent seen the video yet but here is the link. You will have to sign up for a free membership............http://www.racingflix.com/getvideo.asp?v=1465

I dont know if it is a regular WRX or a STI. Havent seen the video yet.

I didn't see the video, but why would you say it's a 2.5RS?

The STi existed in several countries (i'm betting Australia in this case) before the GDA chassis (STi7) was introduced in the states.

Yep. I'm correct,. http://www.rigoliracing.com.au/wrx-2_door_drag_car.html

This is a little different than a full bodied USDM STi. I am sure ESX's new drag car will smoke this car. I still give it to the boys from Puerto Rico for the fastest USDM STi out there. I am confused however to why they would be running full slicks, even up front, when this is a rear drive car now.

It's AWD iirc. With enough power (and implied weight transfer) burnouts are very possible on AWD cars built to that caliber.

... and sorry, i didn't mean to make you sound like you were stupid. The chassis is the same as the USDM RSs, so you were sorta right.

It's 1/4 mile... There no way in **** you only do a 8.5 1/8th mile and trap 155... LOL

here is my 1/4 mile... My 1/8th mile is 7.6's@94... so it's definately 1/4 mile

I posted this months back when they actually just run that time. Aussie winter is coming so look for that car to be running better real soon. A little birdie told me to not be suprised if we see a 7 second pass

That is a version 5 STi from Australia. Tony Rigoli Performance is the shop. Link was given above... www.rigoliracing.com.au

It is awd.

1/4 mile track??? trapping 155mph you better catch up on your drag racing knowledge. hah. yea i thought it was tottally lame when that guy was claiming fastest sti @10 second 1/4. Not that impressive for drag racing, probably better to pick a different car.
