I know that feeling... I'm starting to think that the difference is how much boost you've got built up on launch. I *think* making sure that the RPM's are on the upswing when you start letting out the clutch is key.

I've tried brake boosting with the hand brake but unless there's something wrong with my OEM boost gauge, I'm not seeing any boost built up when I do this.

"abnormal loads". They make it sound like the engine cant handle it. My buddy that has the 91 Talon in my video's has a studder box (same thing) and I dont know how many times he's used that to launch his car. Probably somewere around 100+ times. Engine's still fine.

I have the UTEC with launch control activated. I use it all the time to launch, and sometimes just to scare kids in Civics who rev at me. My car is fine and it has +40,000 miles, so anyone who wants to try it shouldn't be scared off by the warning.

i flat foot shift like every day in my car (when it runs), lol.. and as for launch control, well i have broken a few axles...
