Looks like 1-1 to me also. The evo will walk all over the buckeye if the race is a little longer.

nice job with the bugeye, but i have to wonder whats up with that evo?? with those mods, i would have expected the evo to walk the rex. however, i dont mind seeing an evo getting shamed by a "mere wrx."

EVO's are slow untill they get reflashed.. Then its a hole different ball game..

Didn't that WRX have the vf37 map....but that turbo wasnt listed under it's mods....or did I make that up?

Don't count on it. A few weekends ago a friend and I did a little running, he has a stock EVO IX + a lower intercooler pipe, and just over 1K on the clock. I have an '05 STi with a Helix catted down-pipe/Cobb Stage 2. I won, of course, but it was a closer race than you might think. Those new EVO's are underrated for sure, and as soon as he gets his flash I'm done.

Evo 2 - WRX 0

Clearly the evo was more powerful. It would reel the WRX In eventually, but in any case that little bugeye has some kick.

decent vid, my freind has a tuned/cam'd/tbe evo, we are 50/50 for beating each other. sometimes he freakin kills me though if he gets it in the powerband right.

The IXs are crazy. I don't want to be one of those people who states they know someone who did this, that, and the other... but there is one IX that I know if who has an intake, TBE, and flash running 12.00 @ 113.

...as well as one with just a TBE, flash, and MBC putting down 355whp and 365wtq, uncorrected.

I was wondering the same thing, though, because if that 8 has cams and has not been tuned, his car is probably running like $hit. Just a guess, but, whatever.

PS - I've got a TBE and been dyno flashed; woke the car up like crazy and I am still running a safe mid11:1 AFRs.
