I love that 997 Turbo, probably more like our STI's then the GT3, but the GT3 is nice also. Can I have one of each?

Porsche picked the best launch color for the new GT3. Kudos to them...i want one.

Maybe white is the new trend just like silver was in 2003. The new GTI launch color is white too.

I see a trend coming on...

White seems to be the best color for every car. Its a clean fresh look. I would take white over any color followed by black.

I think white is THE best color for the '06 STi's for sure. I wouldn't mind a white EVO 9 either...

A white 06 STI looks nice but a white 06 Evo 9 MR with a nice body kit looks sick. I remember seeing a picture of one and the car looked so mean. i still prefer a STI.

^^^^My thoughts EXACTLY

On another note I actually rather have a GT3 over a GT2 - well if it was me spending my money.
Oh and I think I found a car I like more than the Z06(I think its worth the 25,000 more for the things associated with the Porsche name opposed to the Z06s superior performance - straight line atleast) I dont want to hear Nurburgring times either, as much as I love the track, there are WAY to many factors to test - so until the same driver in the same exact conditions laps both cars I take those times w/ a grain of salt.

Oh and just for a side note, Porsche is usually conservative with their performance figures(0-60 in 4.1 - I would expect it a bit quicker)

They do what hardly anyone else can do successfully; improve on an already incredible machine. Kudos to Porsche for dedicating race track winnings to the street. WOW.

I've seen both run at tracks and have driven our GT3 at the track. There is no way an STi or an EVO would be lapping me while I race the GT3. It would be possibly with tons of mods, but my STi no where compares to the GT3 in any way stock for stock. And I've raced against 996 Turbos as well, they haul ass in the straights, but the weight difference is obvious in the corners. In the GT3, the turbos would pull away slightly in the straights at Road America, enough to make me mad, haha, but I would always catch them in the corners. On smaller tracks, like Gingerman and Blackhawk, we were running with turbos and passing them. We belong to a country club in Illinois called Autobahn Country Club, that is where I watch most of these cars run, but I have seen GT2's and GT3's run up at Road America too. Just my info from being a Porsche freak too.
I take it that you are involved in PCA events as well? Nice. One of these days, I'll get my hands on a 996, if not a 997. Did you attend the Rennsport in Daytona in 04? More Porsches than you can name. They were all there. When I say all, I mean all models Porsche ever made. Sweetest time ever. Couple of RUFs in attendence as well.

One of the more memorable moments at the event....
A RUF Yellowbird (CTR2, I believe) with street tags running at speed alongside full race Porsches on track during races. My boss led a lap with his 700hp+ 930, but with speeds of 200mph and the ridiculous amount of downforce, the RR tire rubbed the oil line in the fenderwell coming aorund turn 4, causing pretty big leak. So that was the end of that session. lol

Haven't had the pleasure of attending any events at Road America; however, been to quite a few tracks around the country when I was involved in GrandAm Rolex series. Daytona is still my favorite. Great "Gentlemen's Club," called Lolli Pops down the street as well. puhehe. ahhh I miss those days.
