I was really suprised by the drag race in how far the evo was ahead. What are power specifications of the UK evo? Running the same race with US spec'd cars should put the sub neck and neck, + 1/2 liter helps alot.

Its true. The Evo is a better performance car than the STi. Over and over and over again its proven. However, its really a driver's race for the non-elite.

That is a gimpy UK STi.. Next time you see a stock usdm sti get walked by a stock evo you let me know. If you lived in the UK why would you buy a regular STi when you could get a gray market Spec-C from Litchfield?! Ah well.

You could tell by the launch that it lacked the TQ our little beast has. Still it has 305 HP regardless of the engine size it seems it would do a little better.

Also isnt the UK EVO a beast compared to the us spec?

I highly disagree here. The machines are so close it is not even funny. Only thing I feel is the EVO gets a better dial in from the factory. Our STi's actually have positive camber in the front, and we wonder why there is understeer
