How is it "unfair" racing AWD from a stop yet somehow racing from a roll is "fair" for the AWD car? Jesus, I'm so sick of that "ricer" excuse. The Scion is 2WD so has less drivetrain loss, so, by your logic, running from a roll is actually "unfair" for the STi? Not only that but this particular car has ~100-120whp MORE than the STi, but lets still go from a roll? It's no biggie, but that AWD excuse is tired. This 400whp Scion vs a 280whp (stage2?) STi would get raped on the street from a stop. That's pretty damn impressive in favour of the STi.

Either way, nice video. But that's pretty much expected that a 400whp 3000lbs car would pull a 3300lb 280whp car - if anything I'm impressed how well the STi held its ground. I'm not sure why people are getting so upset as there are tons of STis out there that would destroy that Scion. Big deal, nice vid lets move on.

Lastly, there dynos of STis showing anywhere from 215whp (vishnu's dyno) to 260whp (probably a dynojet). Love how you take the low ball number and compare it to a highball of the Scion. You love to stir the pot, don't you?

05 STi I think your the only one that's a fanboy of anything man. Everyone here seems to simply be stating that you can't just slap a turbo and exhaust on a tC (or any NA car for that matter) and expect it to run like that. My guess is you have never converted an NA car to FI. I have and let me tell you it's no easy task (I blew my motor thanks to not tuning it). And if that tC is making 400 HP like claimed (which I don't doubt from how well he walked that STi), believe me it's qualified as "moderately" to "higly modified" (of course that's all in the eye of the beholder). Just to prove my point, if he is running stock compression then he must have a real real good tune, and be running race gas. If he isn't he droped his compression; probably with stacked gaskets (once again not a typical "bolt-on" mod as it requires pulling the head). That doesn't include the bigger injectors (or maybe he's running a rising rate fpr with an inline pump), the intercooler (if he's running one), a new clutch (which i'm sure he'll need), plugs, the piping, and other misc parts. I just don't get why your so eager to accuse everyone here that they are being "fan boys." Maybe you just like creating tension . Either way, if you think that car only has "two mods" than you live in denialville and the population is 1.

P.S. I know for a fact my STi is not unbeatable, and if i'm a fanboy of anything it's the 2JZ-GTE.

I'm not going ot explain the "unfair" advantage to you. Go back and read my post. This isn't the 1st time of the 1st post I've mentioned this comparison in, and no matter where or what, it always winds up with me having to give some explanation to someone. "Ricer excuse?" It's hardly a "ricer excuse." I took out the advantage and the STi DIDN'T capitalize, PERIOD. I don't make excuses. The STi simply WASN'T faster. If you want to talk about excuses, read this thread. It's pathetic. "The Scion had a lot more mods!" "The Scion is lighter!" "The STi wasn't racing!" No, the STis are NEVER racing ARE THEY?

You just want to move on because it sickens you to admit that a Scion SPANKED an STi.

I don't ever "stir the pot." I call it like I see it. It just so happens that a large portion of members can't stand to be disagreed with, and then forums turn into something similar to what we have here. Why? Simple. It's because I simply said, "THE STI GOT SMOKED, PERIOD!" That's right. The STi was SLOW compared to that Scion, and it got smoked. It never had a chance. Am I supposed to say, "THAT STI WASN'T RACING! THERE'S NO WAY A SCION CAN BEAT AN STI?" Sure, because that's what EVERYONE here wants to read! Well, I'm not one to post the popular opinion just so everybody can sit there and nurse their wounds and "comfort" each other in a time of the STi's disappointment and despair. The truth is that the STi was simply out-classed on that particular day. There are no excuses. It got smoked. Everybody needs to let it go and quit analyzing it. The video footage doesn't lie. Someone even posted that the STi driver WAS in fact racing (I can't believe that even had to be addressed, but an excuse to weasel an STi out of a loss.....)!

Lastly, I've learned on this forum that "disagreeing" with someone means you're starting a flame war. Yep, that's right. I've even been called names already. I feel like I'm on NASIOC.

And I'm sure someone else will call me some more names soon enough.

I think you need to go back and reread some previous posts of mine.

Yeah, I'm a "fanboy" of Scions. You guessed it! That's funny, because I was just called a "Subaru fanboy" the other day for someone claiming that I would say just about anything to take Subaru's side on things. I can't remember if it was here or on ClubWRX. I found that comment to be painfully amusing, considering I don't even like Subarus. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am not a fan of companies. I am a fan of particular cars. The "fanboy behavior" is clearly being displayed by numerous members here who are simply making up each and every excuse they can possibly find to justify the loss of the STi. The STi loses races like every other car. I'm simply astounded by all the excuses that people are coming up with. It won't be long before I read, "Someone told the guy in the STi to let the Scion win!"

That seems to be the excuse. Every time someone doesn't agree with me, I'm a "fanboy."

Your words here:

Judging by that "clip," it's no wonder you blew your motor. What does a normally aspirated motor have to do with fuel injection? My Camaro is normally aspirated and has fuel injection. It didn't have to be "converted from normally aspirated to fuel injection." You guessed right; I've never "converted a normally aspirated motor into fuel injection." That Scion could've been running extremely lean, for all we know. We all know it surely didn't sound healthy! I wouldn't be surprised to read that since the filming of that video that the Scion's motor has taken a dump.

Lastly, what proof is there that the Scion is making "400 whp?" The video says that the Scion had a turbo kit and an exhaust. There is no mention of any other mods. If there are other mods, it wasn't mentioned. Why would the guy with the STi lie? After all, the "camera car" was the STi that got its ass whooped.

It seems that I'm the "bad guy" just because I'm not in denial and making excuses of why the STi got its ass handed to it. So I'll be the bad guy. Sorry, but I'm not going to take part in the "analysis" of why the STi got beat. The answer is simple. THE STI SIMPLY GOT OUT-CLASSED BY THAT SCION. The STi wasn't broken. The STi wasn't letting the Scion win. The STi wasn't running poorly. THE STI WAS SIMPLY OUT-SHINED!

And for the record, I didn't enjoy seeing an $18,000 car beat a $31,000 STi anymore than anyone else did, but that's life. You win some and you lose some. Deal with it.

The bigger man doesn't call names when people disagree with him. I'm not the one calling names and insulting people because people disagree with me. I just commented on the "fanboy behavior." What would YOU call it?
