Thanks for the vid. The Stage 2 definitely walked away. It's obvious that off a roll the Stage 2 is definitely going to show the superiority, because off the dig in the other video it wasn't as clear.

Good vid.

remember withs tage two you gain lot of torque at the low-end, not as much as top-end. So from dig, it will be much much faster. on a roll, not much of difference.
however i have to tell, it made big, big difference when i got mine protuned.
i have a friend with 350z auto, when i was stock, we were about dead even and he will pull at 5th gear. but now i can gain on him about 3-5 cars on every gear. even at 5th gear.

Not to mention, when you get protuned or stage2, your redline or peak hp drops down to 5.5-6k rpm. therefore you ahve to shift way early. or you just run out of power. with this in mind, he(video) should race again while shifting at 6k

But, every little bit counts.....
its actually 60+whp and 90+wtq after protuned. considering using 250hp/250tq stock base line. and with 95 or 100 octane another 30-50whp.

and it makes huge difference in low-end. HUGE! and 5th gear doesn't feel like sti at all. hehe

Ok, what do you mean by "pro tuned?" I thought a Cobb Stage 2 program was a factory program that came on the Cobb AccessPORT that you simply flash, the same as Stage 1.

Why would your redline drop with a tune? Wouldn't you want to make power up until around 6500-7000 rpm like the stocker?

i didn't mean redline.i meant peak power. torque curve is much steeper than stock. i don't think our turbo can handle that high rpm

As I was admonished in another thread, i discovered that a pro-tune is not the same as a cobb stage 2 reflash. The latter is an "off the shelf" map that has varying results on different cars but the protune "stage 2", as is described above, is having a TBE and then having the car professionally tuned. Where it gets confusing is that "Protune" , correct me if i am wrong, is a software that comes from CObb that allows a tuner to manually change the feul maps instead of buying and loading the basic stage 2 "off the shelf" map. In both cases the hardware is the same - both require a TBE.
