Default My stock '05 STi top speed run viddy...

Enjoy

No effort was made to shift quickly, I just went WOT in each gear until I saw the shift light. Indicated speed is 152 mph, actual speed is between 145 and 147 (145 is fuel cut, but some magazines have reported 147).

The sound you hear at 135 mph is the infamous outside mirror wail, some people say it sounds like a horn. On my car it's constant instead of being an on-off sound.

I made 2 runs, both to fuel cut, which was not intrusive at all, just a slight decel at 152 indicated.

P.S. Run was done on a closed course.
P.S.S Conditions were clear, dark, and about 40°.

The car has a speed governer from the factory, it's supposed to be 145 mph, but I've seen at least 2 magazines put it at 147 mph. I stopped because I hit the fuel cut .

Thanks guys. I was lucky that the road I used is closed-off for normal traffic at the moment, but it will be open by the time I go Cobb Stage 2. Fortunately, it sees very little traffic, and I mean VERY little, so a late-night 175 mph run will easily be possible in the near future.

Very stable, no different than 70 mph, no wobble, no lift at the front, no movement in the back, nothing, nothing at all. It felt like I was driving a brick, lets put it that way...lol.

Shift sooner! Nice video: very clear and not fuzzy at all (except for the fuzzy feeling as you hit the top speed limiter!)

Bezerk: Hmmm, sooner? I thought I needed to shift later, I'm supposed to be shifting at redline...right?

iTSTi: Warm up more? Stock gauge, peak boost is 14.5 psi .
