Indicated speed is 152 mph, actual speed is between 145 and 147 (145 is fuel cut, but some magazines have reported 147). The sound you hear at 135 mph is the infamous outside mirror wail, some people say it sounds like a horn. On my car it's constant instead of being an on-off sound. I made 2 runs, both to fuel cut, which was not intrusive at all, just a slight decel at 152 indicated. P.S. Run was done on a closed course. P.S.S Conditions were clear, dark, and about 40°. Fortunately, it sees very little traffic, and I mean VERY little, so a late-night 175 mph run will easily be possible in the near future. |
