Scary stuff.

They managed to pull the bloodied 20 something year old driver out of the flipped car though, alive.

wow...took a long time to load, but damn...sucks to see that kind of stuff. I saw an accident right in front of me like a year ago and watched as a 21 year old guy tried to pull his dead fiance from the car while the drunk driver stumbled out of his car. I restrained the drunk driver so he couldnt run, and my friend held back the 21 year old when he was trying to attack the drunk driver. one of the most emotional things I have seen in America. so sad

I know it would have been wrong but I would have let the 21 year old beat the ever liven hell out of the drunk. Thats just me.

yeah..we were just trying to look out for him...drunk driver probably would have tried to get him for assault. Poor guy already lost so much.

damn, that is terribly sad... i could only imagine being in his shoes... horrific.

i would've let him beat the drunk guy up though... and then i would've been "witness" to the drunk guy assaulting the poor guy that lost his fiancee and him defending himself...

Exactly. I would let him beat the **** out of him, and then tell the cops he was all beat up cause of the car accident. I feel so bad for the guy who lost his fiance. What a terrible situation. Thats something you can never forget.

he probably would have killed him though...the drunk driver was like 135lbs and the 21 year old was pretty fit and like 230+ muscle... but yeah sometimes I wish we had let him go...oh well. I never followed up on the situation. this is giving me chills

Right or wrong, I'd have testified that the drunk attacked him.

I guess that's all in hindsight now. In the moment, it's hard to think. I think you did the right thing though, and I hope that drunk driver you mentioned is getting a good raping right now.

I lost my grandparents to a drunk driver so I really don't feel any sympathy for idiots like this. You want to do something dumb and risk killing yourself? Fine, go jump off a building. Don't risk taking someone else with you by drinking and driving.

The victim of the crash would have gotten off scott free even if he did kill the drunk driver. It's called heat of passion murder. No prosecutor who would like to keep their job would prosecute someone for beating a drunk driver to death after seeing his fiance die right before his eyes.

I hope they turned a copy of the tape over to the DA to prosecute that guy for DUI.
