IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | It was a blast, especially since i coned about 5 seconds into it. Once you cone, the "Show" is on. More fun that way anyhow. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Mount used is from Filmtools, called the "Gripper 3028". I've not had any failures from this very basic suction cup mount in Autox, Rallyx, nor HPDE events.. Very reliable. Gripper 3028 |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | It's autocross, not NASCAR -- you run regardless of the weather. I've been to an autocross with snow on the ground before the runs started, and a few with the wipers going full bore. The biggest problem I've had is hitting standing water with tread-less race tires. One thing that I've noticed with my videos is that the motion in the car is usually much more than shows on the video. Sections where you remember the back end coming out on you and life getting interesting, on video just look like a very minor glitch. So yeah, I imagine with all the sideways I'm seeing on the video that this was a real fun drive & ride. We had an autocross last weekend with rain that stopped just before the drivers meeting, with my group first out. Oh man that first run was slippery. Every time I'd get on the throttle the car would start slewing sideways. On the video you can see it a little, but it was nothing like what was going on in the car.. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Huy - After all of the slideways action, we were already a bit giddy... We both finally lost it when my buddy announcing fired off the "... And all the cones" comment ![]() Mundi - Turn off Picture Stabilization. The Pic Stabilizing stuff smooths things out a bit too much. To give you an idea, there are two vids from the local road course... One with Stabilization turned on, the other without: Our Vids Page The "Shagn and Jedi1 at Tgprix" video is with Stabilization "ON" (8th video) The "Shagn and McCain at TGPrix" video is with it "OFF" (2nd Video) A bit more exciting with it off, and it's not that jumpy. I am running the STi pink springs, with the Group N strut tops. Not even near too stiff for the camera |

I will probably try and find a 3M polorized film to put on the section of windshield that the camera is shooting through. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | |
