| Amateur STI Driver | Had some fun at a HDPE in Summit Point, WV recently. I logged the sessions with my Scanmaster3, and then synched the data to the video. Here are two sample laps (apologies for the large size) http://www.phy6.net/~kkiger/STi_Hot_Lap.avi http://www.phy6.net/~kkiger/STi_Traffic.avi You may need to download the latest Divx codec to view the files (www.divx.com). Vehicle is still completely stock (tires too), with the exception of brake fluid and pads. LOL, the stock exhaust is so quite, I felt compelled to include some additional background soundrack make it a little more entertaining than listening to wind noise. Enjoy! | Amateur STI Driver | Thanks! Adobe Premiere. It has the capability to load a sequence of individual images as a single movie, which greatly simplified things. Also allows you to change the playback rate of the overlay track, which makes it easier to synch things up (the data logger did not sample at a constant rate). |

Again, those overlays are amazing. They're really professional looking, like what you'd see on TV. It makes me wonder if I could do something similar with an AccessPort. One other question: How did you mount the camera? | |

The camera mount was another issue, and one that needs improving: on my last 5 laps of the day (and also my best by far) the part supporting the camera loosened up and the camera ended up pointing at the back of the passenger seat (D'oh!). I used some aluminum beams, a massive suction cup capable of holding 70 lbs on the back window, and a series of heavy duty ratchet straps to LATCH connectors in the back seat to keep it all in one place. If you want, I might be able to take a picture of it installed, but I am not sure it is worth replicating, as the suction cup raised some eyebrows at the tech inspection, and I had to convince them that if it failed it would still be secured.
