IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Good God the MR was stock...hmmm aren't they limited to a 5K rev limit for launching, which I have usually seen them bog? I don't mean to sound negative, 'A win is a win, whether it is by inch or a mile' :P But stock...I think that does speak volumes for the MR's ability since you didn't beat him by that much. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | I know its hard to tell, but i was actually pulling we had a person at the end of the racing waiting, and he said I was ahead about 2 cars at the end... off the line i took about half a car ahead and slowly gained more threwout the race.... I take that back, the guy with the MR did mention he had his 5k rev taken off so he can rev high when clutch is in, he said he launchs about 5500.. Also yeah the MR is fast and was pretty much stock, but the guy also said after tax and such he paid 45,000$ for his MR i was like but yeah i paid 34,000$ out the door for my sti... ;Donald |

Now, from a roll, if that MR is truly stock, his STi should walk away nicely. Since the Evo driver had the 5k rev limit removed, I have a feeling he isn't completely stock. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | He must be dyno flashed or got a turbotrix flash, and I don't think this dude shelled out 300 clams just to remove a rev limiter...(stealth mods come to mind, intake, test pipe, down pipe, DF) I had a friend who had an 03 which had pretty much these mods and the outcome was similar...but that was with just my DP&intake in my 03 STi. Once he got a fuel pump and TRUST intercooler it was over before it began. Even then...45K to 34K more then 10k difference not to include the mods cost as well...that says it all.
