IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 | i dunno guys...i'm not trying to hate or anything..but i think that's a sti. i own a WRX and that looks like an 05 sti. look closely to the rear fender and along the rear wheel well trimming..it flares out, only what a 05+ STI has. i maybe wrong and my eyes maybe playing trick on me but i watched the clip a few times and i still see it as a sti. as you guys know the STI has no top end or rolling power...so the STI maybe stock or the STI was jsut cruising toying with the cobalt kid. you don't even hear the STI going WOT. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 | there is no attitude here. just replying with a smart @ss remark back to Justin B. my original post was strictly innocent. |

Either way, I don't think people here give the Cobalt SS enough credit. Sure, it's no STi but it isn't slow. Even if it only traps 98mph (some claim 100) it's going to give a stock STi a bit of a hassle. They aren't slow. I'm sorry but a RS would get it *** handed to it by a Cobalt SS (with only a driver that is). Even a stock WRX would have a hard time from a roll. The BS part about this whole thing is the guy said he had a full car of passengers. No stock Cobalt SS in the world, full of passengers, is going to pull on a STi with only a driver. What I think happened is this kid came along a STi, booted it after they turned the corner, then shutdown just as the STi driver realized that there was a race going on. Hardly proof of anything... IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 | the part about "I can post as I please" was what I was referring to. That kind of attitude is not helpful. I didn't read anything in post #95 that was rude, but your reply seemed combative. I just wanted to point that out to you. |
