Me vs. Friend's Supercharged Civic

There was nothing to do yesterday so my friend and I decided to make a short film. He just got his civic back from the shop and he's running 270whp supercharged. He has a '04 Civic EX with the stock sleeper look. His car also has been stripped, no back seats or passenger seats either. His car is running against my old beater... A 1992 Saab 9000 Turbo w/ 200,000+ miles on it :P. He takes a short leap on me in the beginning until you hear my turbo spool up =X

His Saab has got to be modded because a ~2500lb Civic with 270whp, from a roll, is going to be reasonably fast (definitely a lot faster than a stock STi).

True, but those b17 sucks ass. An 04 civic HAS Vtec, but isn't it like economy vtec or something cheese like that?

With that much power on hand...he is most likely built from the bottom up. I know that RSX type S's supercharged cant make that kind of power easily (or safely) w/o a bottom end rebuild.

Do they? I don't think my wife's 03 Civic LX has VTEC.

I had an 02 EX coupe...it is a D17...and it does suck..one of the reasons I got rid of mine was there was the VTEC that was made for economy like STi_Mark said. However, with 270WHP,...I don't care if you got D17 VTEC with 45MPG should have been faster than that.....

Wheel spin maybe?????

vtec is only on the ex models and it is still sohc.

he also said that the car was gutted out, so you are looking at a civic that weighs about 2200lb and 270whp. stock sti gets 245whp and it runs 13. that civic gotta run at least good mid 12.
