great little tribute video to one of the best sounding motors of all time. the Volkwagen VR6. i had a VR6 NA and blown and it just sounds so damn good. i miss that sound.

Still have one in the garage. I like the pre-DBW necksnapping throttle response.

one of these days i'm going to get another VR6 but it's going to be a MK2 GTI, with samll bumper, big doors, slammed with some dish. i miss the sound of my VR.....

but the STI makes up for it

was it twin carbed 2.0l 16v or a crossflow ?

It was a autotech 2036 block W/ a ported euro 8v gti head, autotech cam.
That thing screamed, It ran high thirteens in a 1/4 mi!

I had a 1998 gti vr6 with a vortec charger, cams, exhaust etc and it was awesome. I loved the sound of that car with the neuspeed catback sans resinator. I luv the sti but i will always love my super charged vr6 and the matalic wail that it made at wide open throttle.
