Thanks for the feedback. I think the camera is a little too far back as well. It's hard to get a good mounting point with no roll cage. I'll try something else next time I'm out.

The stock seats are ok on the track, since you don't have any quick changes of direction (or you hope you don't), they are just not very good for autocross, even though I never a problem with the width but more with the height of the seating position (way too high).

i saw this "interesting" way to mount a camera...or you can go buy a bracket that mounts inbetween the driver and passenger seats.

I used that same type of set up, but with my camera tri pod, and a strap from my sons car seat. I set it up and then opened the hatch. I zoomed in looking at the sight picture. The camera is an HD Flip. It came out pretty good for a first attempt.

Will you be out there again on March 21st with NASA? I'm trying to get a group of guys (norcal chat thread) from this site to go together. Should have at least 4 or 5 guys. We're all newbs and it would be great to have you as an instructor
