IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | Here's a quick clip of a recent HPDE I did with the NASA SE region at Road Atlanta. I'm not going flat out I'd say a comfortable 7/10ths but it was still a lot of fun. Road Atlanta- HPDE3-Aug08 My setup can be found in my journal: http://www.iwsti.com/forums/members-...y-working.html I realize after watching the video there are some parts of my line I could definitely improve on and many corners I could carry a lot more speed into (turns 1 and 12 mainly but they scare me a little). I also realized I need some gloves to help get rid of the kung-fu grip I have on the wheel at times. Enjoy. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | This was my first event with my new setup so I didn't want to push it and it had been awhile since I had been to an event. After all the carnage that weekend (I believe 15 cars in all including a 996 turbo) I was happy to just bring it home in one piece. |

It was knarly when it came on but got old when it came on when I didn't want it to. Yea, you can control it with throttle control but having to hold back on stepping on it was "exhaust"ing. For a track car EWG sounds cool though. Checked out your member's journal, nice setup! Driving/car looks solid. I wouldn't have known Road Atlanta had that many elevation changes until I saw your thread. Looks much different in the ****pit as opposed to watching it on tv. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | Thanks. Yeah the wastegate gets old especially since the spring is rated at ~8 psi. So during partial throttle acceleration on the street it opens up early. It makes me drive slower though so thats good for the wallet. The elevation changes at Road atlanta in person are much more drastic than tv or forza. The first time I went through turn 12 at speed was quite an experience. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | Thanks. If you ever have a chance its worth it. It always brings some amazing cars out too. Lots of gt3 cup cars and race prepped c6 zo6's even a new GT-R was out in time trials. Its worth it just to watch. In fact if you see a blue canopy on the left of the back straight this guy came out just to watch with his pimped out "Ferrari" fiero edition complete with gold V12 biturbo decals. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | Thanks! The car ran perfectly thanks to you guys. Except when an intercooler pipe blew off because I forgot to double check my work. It scared the crap out of me. I had just passed some one in an older 911 right before turn 10 and suddenly had no power and smoke pouring out. Luckily I had enough momentum to roll into the pits and found the culprit. I was thinking the worst. |
