| near rock bottom | Figured I would post up a little something here. I've had my Sony HD camcorder for a while but I never tried converting it to mpg and actually showing people. So today I went out with my two friends and I did a little drive by, then he did one. I just was interested in seeing the before/after exhaust sound as I am picking up an HKS exhaust soon. That of course will be posted up in HD as well. I wasn't really stomping on it b/c I'm still only around 750miles. Think the pass was 3rd @ around 4500rpm. Probably should've went to like 5200 for a little bit raspier note but... whatever you get the idea and it's a decent baseline. EDIT: If you dont' have a download manager, go to Index of /img/WHITESTI and right click, save target as. http://www.maximumoc.com/img/WHITEST...ti_driveby.mpg Here's my friend's 97 M3 w/ a Dinan kit and some Dinan tuning. http://www.maximumoc.com/img/WHITESTI/matt_driveby.mpg This ad is not endorsed by this member. | near rock bottom | The download links are working for me. Or do you mean the video isn't loading? It works in VLC Media Player and WMP in vista. Perhaps you're missing a codec or something? *shrug* |

| near rock bottom | Sony HDR-SR12. I'm liking it a lot! No filters or lenses were on, but I have a wide and a telephoto. I'll try and take some more vids as the mods progress. Video is always better than photos. And HD video is always better than SD video hehe |

EDIT: Just watched your videos. How are you rendering it in such a higher quality? I mean my camera is recording in 1080i so I know it can look better than what I rendered. Lemme know! Thanks! Last edited by sysfailur; 08-24-2008 at 02:47 PM.

I use Sony Vegas Pro 8.0, capture in 1080i. I render the HQ video in MPEG-2 (.m2t) using HDV 1080-60i template. The file size is HUGE but quality is very good. FYI.. you can save the .m2t files to a SONY Playstation and play them in HD over your HD TV...

| near rock bottom | My files however are .m2ts and will not open in Sony Vegas 8.0 oddly enough... they're both Sony products and they don't work as it is, unless I need to install a special add-on. Also, that's pretty cool about saving it to a PS3 but.. it's already on my camera, so I usually just plug it in via an HDMI. That's why I know the image CAN look a lot better like yours, but I just had a bad render. Anyway I'll check around for some Vegas plugins or something to get this working b/c right now it won't even let me edit .m2ts files. |

| near rock bottom | Well you know what, I'm almost 50/50 on it now that I think about it. I'm also a fan of photography if done properly but video does get the other senses involved as well which is why I like it. A well taken photograph on the other hand, with proper lighting in a great location is really hard to beat! And another plus to photography is the lack of massive post processing and rendering. Perhaps a little touch up in PS is necessary but aside from that a well taken photo is near ready to go. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | I says I need a codec as well... I have experienced this kind of thing but it usually relates to PoRn I'm trying to watch!! lol Anyone know what and where I can dowload the needed codec to play this vid?
