The major thing hurting subies are the gearing - you don't have enough time to spool such a large turbo and actually use it... 07/08's longer gearing plus a GT35r FTW! This guy has a nice setup : YouTube - 07 STI - 35R In Car

p.s. both cars are great, but there's just something better about driving a subie...

I agree....I have been hashing the idea around of keeping the STi just like it is instead of going any bigger with it, and buying a 40r Evo for a straight line
