LOL

Anywho man did that EVO look good! To beat all those other cars such as the 911, Elise, and the STI. You can tell the EVO is one great car.

if subaru included better aligment and swaybars things would be quite different

but then again a lot of people whined when the saw the 08 specs so I'm not sure it is surprising

Unfortuneately, that's been true since 2004.

These car test/reviews in no way show the potential of each cars chassis. Yes, they definitely shed light on which car is fastest from the factory. To a lot of people that's important, and sometimes a requirement CoughevoownersCough.

Elise was the suprise to me. I doubt sways and an allignment would cure everything...such as how fat it is now.

Notice how the cars that use computers to go fast are all up front while the ones were the driver has to do it all are in the back.

But Evo in june 2008 had a shoot out between an Evo X MR and a STI 08 and the Subie one. Much of these comparisions are feel. I tested the Evo X GSR and hated the noise (at speed) and the bucking bronco nature of it. The STI does not have that feel, some have called the 08 soft, but if you read the Evo article it says that if you push it through that softness is not real, it is just confidence and more grip.

Anyway I am getting over a Mazda RX8 that was fun on the twisties, but was in the snow and considering I use it as a daily driver and last winter was crazy I switched to four shoes. My car arrives saturday , I can't wait!

IMO like I said before I think these shoot outs show a cars potential which is like a rough copy of a final essay. Lets face it who keeps a car stock anway?

Throw some better coilovers on the STI and I'm sure it would've hanged with the rest of the cars, but who knows how much the X would pull away with the same upgrade.

Bottom line any car can be fast so long as you have the funds so don't take these shootouts to heart.
