the 2.0 is awesome. you can tell how they use the 8K redline to their advantage. if only the US emission laws would let subaru bring it here

8K redline = pure beauty. Those motors sound soooo nice.

Not surprising. The STI's over there are the same/faster then the Evo's (we've known this for a while), but guess what guys we didn't get those nice STI's revving out to 8k with the 2.0l. Those JDM cars also weigh less and have a better suspension. On the otherhand we have the JDM Evo's over here aka the Evo IX which are practically indentical whether it be a USDM model or a JDM model.

Hmm since we're in the US which one would you take? Now if we got more of the spec c and it wasn't priced around $36k we'd be in business, but I'd still buy an Evo just because of the looks and the 4G63 which is much easier and nicer to work on IMO, not to mention the iron block.

Good comparision none the less. I love both cars.

Um... the JDM STi's and the USDM STi's aren't that much different. It doesn't matter if you rev to 7000 RPM's or 8000 RPM's if you're making the same horsepower.

Better suspension? What parts on the suspension are different and in what way?

They have tighter suspensions over there. Have you ever looked at any of the roads in Japan especially in the city, they are really nice. You could run track coilovers over there and not have THAT bad of a ride.

I'm talking stock, as I assume these cars in the video were. If JDM springs were stiffer than USDM springs, I'm sure there'd be a market here for OEM JDM springs.... but there isn't.

Also, with coilovers you can choose your rates.
