Seriously, if this is authentic it has to be one of the best car commercials I've seen in a long time. It's somewhat reminiscent of the new Audi commercial but twice as exciting.

that last part of the video where 08 STi is showcased was on the same place with a big street racing crack down here Norcal ( Oakland ) couple of months back

i guess subaru supports street racing

That is incredible. If that is Subaru's answer to the EVO / Lancer commerical... Mitsubishi's advertising department was just put on notice!

I can see this playing on ESPN given that Subaru is a big part of the X games. They must have some kind of agreement going.

as great as it is I have to say the part where the 08 sti shows up looks kind of classy crappy subaru style. you can't even see it well and not even a mention of it's capabilities.

Cool -- I thought I saw the '08 STi several months back with a camera crew in that area (it was near the area that collapsed last year). Saw the commercial last night and totally recognized that freeway entrance the '08 was on at the end. They were going the wrong way though. Making a left onto that entrance is fun cuz you can kick out the rear end a bit without going out of control.

now THAT'S how you're supposed to advertise subaru, not those ridiculous "peel out" commercials endorsing the 2.5i (dont get me wrong i love my 2.5i, but i love my 07, dont care too much for the 08) you gotta show your product performing at hits best, and what it's capable of!
