^^^ Don't sweat it man... any street racing thread comes with 2 or 3 hypocrites that just can't wait to say "steetracing FTL!" like its their job. This is a pet pieve of mine, I'd bet any money the people who say that don't just run their 300+ whp modified rally cars at 2 under the speed limit unless on the track.... c'mon

Thank you! He might have been confused because the sound is a little off since it was recorded via a cell phone.

You my friend are an idiot kid who should have his car taken away from him.

The gloves just add to your ultimate stupidity. Are you trying to protect the ****ty interior of your Subi? that plastic wrapped steering wheel is so sensitive to touch!

And BTW, looked to me like the Mustang let off whiile he was ahead of you and you pulled a ricer flyby.

Just callin it as I see it.

Go to the track son.
Wow, I really think this guy doesn't really even own an Sti, he's faking it! Looks like he really drives a Mustang GT, or probably the girls V6 one. (the one that they always think are fast)

Nope, I owned a 385HP STi for almost three years.

Street raced it ONE time. Decided it was not worth it. So I went to the track, VIR, Dinwiddy, tons of AutoX.

Sold the STi as it leaked alot of oil, didn't hold up to racing very well.

Now own a Z06 Corvette. 361 RWHP. Going to be a VIR beast.

Just because you owna fast car does not mean you have to race it on the streets.

Yes, ANY cars on the road is traffic. Civilians man, you think they expect you to be flying up on them at 100MPH or more? Maybe someone changes a lane BC they dont see you and that minivan full of kids going to a soccer game gets ripped in half by you or your boyfriend in the mustang.

Didnt happen, but it has in the past.

Streetracing is completely FTL. Had it been a totally deserted road middle of the night, well, who cares. However, 120 in a 55 zone with traffic is just stupid selfish childish ego play.

Flame on you crazy ricer.

Lets see....we had an extremely wide 2 lane road, there were only 2 other cars (which maybe in Richmond might be called traffic?), and the race ended before we even caught up to the "traffic".
The issue of the so called "ricer flyby" ,which you seem to also be familiar with since you used the term, is an interesting observation.
I am not quite clear on how you concluded that I did such when I was roughly 13 feet behind when he hit 5th.You must not know what it looks like when someone lets off the throttle at that speed because you dont gradually walk by them. Ummm..ahh yes, "go to the track son". I like going to the track as much as the next guy, but as you may or may not have gathered from the video, the 1/4 is far too little room.
That to me is like racing from one intersection to the next to accurately gauge ones flat out ability. As far as the ****ty interior, I hope you are not making this comparison using your vette. I respect vettes, but lets not call the kettle black .
Last but not least the gloves adding to my stupidity is wierd. I am not sure whether you are irritated by the fact that they are BMW gloves, or that someone might use/enjoy driving with gloves period. Which is it?
OK OK, I take back and apologize for the gloves/interior comment. Not called for.

One last thing. AMTEXX, if you happen to open your eyes, you would have noticed by my profile that I do not own an STi any longer, hell had you bothered to look at my sig you would have seen.

Good looking out there net sleuth.

I'm well aware of the dangers of street racing, and that is why I don't make a habit of doing it. Opportunities present themselves, and when they do I like to take advantage. Such as that particular one.

Cool. Just be careful out there for the sake of others if not yourself and your own family.

I used to do alot of stupid stuff, street racing, drifting on public roads etc... But I had a realization recently. I have a wife and a kid, and with out me, their lives woudl be empty. I can't do that to them.

A guy in my town recently died testing a car he had built over the weekend, he lost control, not racing or anything, just lost it, ended up going over the median and being struck by a large PU truck. His N02 tank cracked, a massive fire ensued during which he screamed and burned to death. He left behnd his wife and 2 kids. It really puts things into perspective.

I'm not tring to be your enemy or anything as petty as that, I just dont want to see anyone get hurt.

Peace.
