Wow, that's very impressive. Was it me or did it look like the new STI has a lot less body roll then the previous version?

It definitely seemed like the new STi had the least amount of body roll. I was surprised to see the EVO Xs do so bad. There was one corner that one of Xs just pushed really wide. Could have been the driver, but I was really shocked to see that.

he was moving out of the way of the charging evo9 which was braking on the turtle and almost got into his rear end... the in-car shows him let up on the steering while looking in his mirror.

There was that 2. But, iirc, he was pretty much alone in the corner I'm speaking of.

This proves that the new JDM STi is a darn good car and Tsuchiya is a darn good driver

The more I watch this the more impressed I am. I know they don't go too crazy around the corners when they are close to each other, but still... the new STI started last, they only did 5 laps and it still took first with a 1 second lead. That's pretty damn huge.

can't wait to see what these new STI's can do. Awesome video. I'm super glad to see the STI will finally overtake the Evo.

BTW, i hear the new EVO X weighs in at 3600LBs... maybe that is why he was taking wide corners??

I wonder if the usdm sti's, would have the same outcome if they were in that same race. The jdm sti's are hitting the 8k mark at every shift.
I like the new hatch style anyways.
