Ya close on the roll....but from a dig all STi- AWD. Not bad for a *4cyl-Turbo against a *6-cyl-"Twin Turbo" for cars close to the same weight.

Ya...crazy to film and drive....But with auto..just mash-peddle and point...Steer with left hand-film with right....one eye on road and one eye on Camera.

Ya...a good driver in a "Stock 07-08" with longer gears might do better from a - Roll...from a Dig should be same story.

That was incredibly dangerous and stupid. Street racing and filming at the same time...wow.

BMW

I never realized they were turbocharged. I am sure that .5 liter size difference plus being an inline six makes huge torque. The website only said 300hp not what the torque was.

Here are the X’s and O’s

BMW
Stock Price - $40,000
Fully Loaded - $60,000
HP – 300
Torque – 300
$ per HP = $200
BMW North America

08 STI (I know the video isn’t an 08)
Stock Price - $35,000
Fully Loaded - $40,000
HP – 305
Torque – 300
$ per HP = $131
Subaru.com : Configurator - Step 4 :

Bottom line: 335 is a nice car, but for 60K you can get a bunch of different cars. For me, for that price, I'd look to the Audi S5, or the Audi R S4. more rare than a 3 series Beemer.

But, where else can you get a car like the STI with the same, or even close, performance, reliability, heritage for under 40K????

You can’t.

The BMW is quieter, smoother, larger, and more comfortable inside. You can drive it to a suit and tie job without a problem. It doesn't constantly tug at you to flog the car, and it also has a BMW badge
