lol ^^^ that video is great. In the first run he looks so constipated.
He just stares at the his tach, not really looking at the road.
Beside from the fact that he shifts wrong, his left hand is also in the wrong position on the steering wheel.

in all the years I've owned cars i've never had a tranny problem from resting my hand on the tranny. I only have one tranny go out on me and my hand was off the shifter doing my first freeway pull after a tune, hit 18psi and right around 4800rpm my supra 5speed poped

Wow! insanely fast. Just out of curiousity do you have any mods to your tranny? It might be the video, but it doesnt sound like the rpms drop much when you shift into 5th.

Heres some gear pulls of my car. These were done before I realized that I had a broken AVCS oil solenoid. Enjoy!

am i missing somthing here... unless u really care about 1/10 of a sec, why not time the gears so its less wear and smoother when shifting. i never shift that fast just because i couldnt live with myself putting that kind of stress on the clutch and tranny.

I think that's the point...they care about that 1/10. This is not their "traffic stop" shifting or at least I hope not. I've had people sit for the first time in an sti and ask me why I shift so slow and why I'm not like the fast and furious guys who shift real fast....

I feel like smaking them but then again, they probably never seen anybody shift a car other than in those movies.

Thanks. Yes they are unequal length. The GT spec II headers seem to have a different length ratio than the stock headers though. They almost sound like a cross between equal and unequal length.

You guys actually think that by resting your hand on the shift lever is going to cause your transmission premature wear and tear? Sure the stick moves up and around with the vehicle but its not like your holding it back from moving even if your hand is resting on it.
