IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Here's a clockwise lap at Dunville Autodrome. This was on spring pressure (low 11 second boost). 245 tires just don't cut it on this car. I need to add flares and some big slicks to get more power down, but I think this is a good start. We also need to add an external oil cooler and some more ducting for the radiator and front brakes. 31 MB. 640X480 High Res. Requires QuickTime. You must have a pretty obscene amount of power to require as many steering corrections as were performed on that lap. Like you said better rubber would most likely help. Thanks for posting! |

| Spec C Club | sick mike looks really fast. Do you have a Quick Rack yet? if not man you should get one you can see you have to turn the wheel a lot to get that beast to hit the corners. also try a higher gear on that last turn and roll the throttle into boost I wanna go run at the track no |

After 1/2 a warmup lap and 3-4 laps blasting around I was coming in since front brake, coolant, and oil temps were all getting rather hot, but I didn't mind because I was ready for a break. Quote:
![]() I'm using a power rack without power steering and as it is the steering is VERY light while on power at all. With power steering you wouldn't feel anything as soon as you hit the gas and I need to feel which wheels are spinning and where the power is going as much as possible. Adding a quick rack wouldn't add to that, but it could make my corrections less subtle and it's hard enough to strike a balance between being smooth and fast. The only times I found myself turning the wheel excessively were to save it from looping when the back came around under heavy braking and corner exit...of course that happened a lot. IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | I have full control over it thanks to a prototype interface for my Autronic box from DCCD Pro. I tried some different duty cycles on the diff, but I'm so far away from having traction that diff adjustment can't resolve the issue. Once I get closer to having grip I'll be spending a good deal of time tweaking the controller. Full lock, full rear power, and a spot somewhere in the middle all send me drifting if I power out of a corner. |

| Spec C Club | Sounds like loads of fun man.. Maybe you can tune it down some for that track might be faster in some area but it won't be as fun |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Turbineguy I love that pic. ![]() ![]() I did what I could. I took the boost controller off and ran spring pressure, but my spring pressure is 21 psi since I run 29-30 psi on the street and more at the strip. I had a mix of a little race gas from the strip and a lot of 91 pump in the tank so I had a conservative tune on it, but the car still makes mid 4XX whp like that...just not the 500+ I push normally.
