I have boost turned down till my crawford air/oil separator arrives next week. So I spent some time this weekend tuning AVCS, air/fuel, and ignition timing at lower boost levels... I think the results are worth it! Subie TV This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. Last edited by Kevin; 11-16-2007 at 03:22 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2006 Trader Rating: (14) | amazing, what power range were these pull made? 22psi on methanol I would guess around the 450 range? did you have another non OEM turbo before this, if so how does the throttle response compare? Thanks. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I ran a 21psi enginuity log through dataloglab and it said 460whp... a 25psi pull was 488whp. The top-end pull and top-end airflow with this motor is just insane. I went from the stock turbo straight to the 35r, but I ran the 35r on the stock motor before getting the built motor 5k miles ago. So I can see the difference between the stock motor and the built motor (or more specifically the built heads+cams). And the difference is big... spoolup is the same, peak tq is less, but it holds more tq to redline and flows a LOT of air. My AVCS map is pretty aggressive and causes it to build boost really easily... so light throttle boost response is nice, but my gas mileage sucks. In the beginning of the video you can hear it spooling under light throttle. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (5) | Im very curious how you have your knock sensor set-up....using the 2 step limiter and all......and with a noisy built motor. PM me if you are willing to shed some light. Anyways, car seems awesome...awesome man |

I do have a txs knocklite installed, but it's connected to an oem honda civic knock sensor, and that didn't work out as well as I had hoped it would (hey the sensor was free...) | |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Because the scooby gods were pissed? I dunno why it broke. I am really afraid about the axles... I just need to hold out another week or two till I can afford the driveshaftshop axle bars. The launch actually doesn't feel that bad, nice and smooth with no wheelhop... but the shift into 2nd gear is brutal and will break something eventually. |
