It has been so painful to watch these last years. Wreck, break, break, break, wreck, wreck, wreck, break, break, wreck. Ugh! Did anyone see the carnage at rally Japan? Shameful. Will Subaru pull their WRC effort? They should IMHO. CB |

| Senior STI Driver | Pastrana doesn't have anything to do with SWRT's failure these last two years. Here's what I said in a different thread, and I think it's worth repeating here: "It's the same thing every rally--mechanical problems, retirements, drivers say the car doesn't feel right, etc. They keep saying they are doing testing and they expect improvements, but Rally Ireland is the second to last round of the second year with the current car: the kinks should have been smoothed out by now. In 2005 Subaru had a very good car, but Petter was backed up by Hirvonen, who was a rookie with potential but made no real results. Don't knock the drivers, Atkinson is the real deal. Subaru knows this, which is why they extended his contract. Chris is getting lots of stage wins over veteran drivers, and hes right up there in the drivers standings with petter. hes going to be exciting to follow next year |
