I'm always skeptical when the guy holding the camera knows the power of the other car. That's not to say a boosted civic can't take a modded STI from a roll but I'm still skeptical |

Keep in mind it's several hundred lbs lighter than the STi. If he's running a k-series motor they are incredibly fast from a roll. A lot of the v-tec junkies are swapping the k24 from a TSX into the RSX's and Civic's for even more power. I have a 2006 RSX Type-S and 2005 STi. I'm at a stage 2 on my STi, granted it's no comparison to the power of both these cars, and I ran my STi against my RSX Type-S that's running a Comptech Supercharger with 11 psi. My RSX easily walked away from the STi on the express way and my cousin didn't even need to hit the nitrous. |

| STI Driver | I'm just as skeptical as you guys are. I ran against a Integra GSR turbo from a race shop (on a closed road of course), with my exhaust silencer in, and walked him pretty bad. I ran against a twin turbo 350Z (without my silencer) and walked him pretty bad too...so I don't get it that this guy lost. (I'm running about 340 whp) You notice who is holding the camera and making the video. Who is to say that he really knows the hp of the sti...I say it is stock. Oh yeah, and a funny story. First night I bought my Sti I came across a piece of crap Geo who came up to a stop light and started revving his engine. I was completely stock of course and thought it was pretty funny. Well long story short he put a small block V8 in it with turbo. (he was an engine builder and they went out looking for victims.) He destroyed me. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | ahh.. we all know dyno numbers are bull****. when it comes to racing.. that sti could be stage 2 but has a dyno sheet that say "400whp" thats prolly very high dyno reading and the same with the civic. with that being said. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. YouTube - Turbo Civic vs STi heres my version of racing a good friend of mines TURBO build 2.0 CIVIC, the way his car sits on the video. he has manage to run 11.9 with the highest trap of 120mph with 15psi of boost on 91 octane..i too was running on my 91 map on the video.. 91 map vs 91 map, 40 - 140mph you can clearly tell my friends civic is faster on 91 vs 91 btw he has no traction on the street even with slicks..
