IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (1) | My head is still reeling from this weekend. Two days, marred by multiple crashes (not me) with near-freezing temps and rain...and it was the most awesome...as in "full of awe"... track experience I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. I cannot wait to go back... These vids are from the second day, after it rained all morning. First session was with my instructor, who signed me off for BLUE (HPDE3), to show me the "rain line"...and how to hunt for traction. I did not record that session. Second session was just after it stopped raining...it was misting and the track was quite wet. One learns quite a bit on how their car handles when attacking a track in the wet... Subie TV Third session was solo...and it dried out somewhat. Burned-out stock tires and cold temps didn't help traction much but I was able to start out first in the group and more than hold the position...I even lapped a few drivers...a couple just before this next vid starts. I did notice from watching the vids that I am more aggressive hunting than running by myself. It appears that I work on technique and reference points when by myself but turn it up several notches when chasing other drivers....go figure... A few clean laps and then hunting down another STI... Subie TV ...edit... experiment with audio... Subie TV And special thanks to Alex (2slow2curious) for the custom camera mount...it is awesome!!!! Be good, TomK This ad is not endorsed by this member. Tom did really well and is loading vids up this evening, so I should have some more good video to put up. He uses a great video system...lipstick cams both front and back. Really, great job with the camera mount...it is much more stable than my last set-up and less intrusive. Thank you so much!!! Here's an editing experiment that I think went quite well...something new for me, although I don't think I'll make a habit of it... YouTube - WatkinsBecoming I think the different audio tracks meld quite well together. And I am pumped for LRP!!!! Be good, TomK

Really, great to see the XXCrew at the track...come to think of it, I've never been to a track-day that didn't have XXTuning cars present...and the reason why I'll only let you tune the car. Which, btw, ran like a dream...great job and thank you so much. And thanks for the kind words. Be good, TomK
