IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (8) | This header/uppipe combo had a popularity increase once people fully realized the benefit of having a pre-fitted EGT bung and the better spool of the MadDad(TM) exclusive 45mm velocity stack in the uppipe(all other similiar offerings use a 48mm velocity stack) giving better spool and a broader torque curve. We've got another pallett of these coming in the tail end of June(possible first week of July) and this is the last chance to buy a set at $449.95. In addition wer're extending FREE ground freight. Just hit the forums and ask anyone how they like their MadDad(TM) V2 Header/Uppipe. $449.95 uncoated $649.85 with a ceramic coating. Note we coat the inside and out. Twice each. The inner coat and outter coat are applicatoin specific and warranteed direct through Daddy's/MadDad(TM) Take advantage now and save on what is arguably the best unequal length header available. IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (8) | jmanrex - No. I'd say 3 out 5 we ship are coated. Mine have been on my car for 2 years and no issue with coatings and my origonal TD04 is still quite happy with 93,000 miles on it. The inner coating doesn't see rock chips hitting or any road debris. The coatings is just sprayed on. They go through a prep process, coating, baking ect. Your question is one I inquired about when first offing the header coated and the company we use - which just does automotive and marine coatings has never come across an issue with the inner coating in their 13 years of doing it. Updated link(thanks) : http://www.daddysscp.com/dcart4/prod...9&cat=0&page=1 r12rex - street price is going up $30(not a huge increase but from 449 to 479) and the freight is free right now which can save anywhere from $15-30 pending on your zip. IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (6) | this may seem off topic with this particular group buy... but how about a group buy for the full 3 inch turboback exhaust ???? =) |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (8) | Thought I should contribute this as well. Many people want to know what are the before and afer dyno's - it will certainly vary a bit from car to car and what the other support mods are but this is a good one for comparison. This chart is from a customer that recently added a V2 Header with 45mm velocity stack. Plots are origonal turboback(tuned) vs. with V2 Header with 45mm velocity stock uppipe(tuned). I also want to be clear NO ONE else offers this arrangement with a 45mm velocity stack in the uppipe. I've seen some advertisements for the other brands that offer a similiar arrangement and one even mentions a 45mm uppipe which is wrong on many claims. First the uppipe is over 50mm in it's inlet size so that it is matched to the larger collector. No sense in having a larger collector supporting more flow if your uppipe suddenly chokes it - however having a 50+mm uppipe all the way would spell no turbo spool. In every other brand offering, the uppipe incorporates a 48mm velocity stack, the MadDad is the only one with a 45mm velocity stack. 3mm makes a big difference. These uppipes were built explicity for MadDad and with the goal of giving you a better curve from beginning to end. |
