I'm so behind on fourm posts, updates and the like it's bordering silly. At least I have a clean PM box(for now) . Normally I setup pre-orders a good 2-3 months in advance and give folks a great deal for waiting. Even though finding time to frequent the forum has been challenging over the past couple of months, the new product cycle has continued on in the unheard background. So instead of waiing 2-3 months for the products below, you'll be looking at a waing of between 3-5 weeks(tops).

MadDad MY2008 Shorty Catless Downpipe

We've finally started the work on some 08 pieces. The first offering is a shorlty catless downpipe. Plug and play fitment and allows you to retain the last cat(the one that is least restrictive and the one that you see when looking under the car). This is a divoreced wastegate setup. The test mule in the photo was pre-production and did not have the extra 02 bung in the head...which production units have. These pieces are hand built/hand TIG welded with pride in the good'ol U.S.A. Regular pricing will be $239, pre-orders will be $179.95. We actually have this pipe done and could have it to folks in the next week or so, however we need someone to step up for a test...and we'll through in an extra small discount. The test mule in the photo does not have the separator flange fitted to it. We need to test a pipe with our standard separator flange. We build our jig and tested against a stock 08 pipe but didn't have a turbo in hand to test the wastegate separator flange. So if someone is willing to take a pipe with our standard separator flange on it(the one we've refined on the V2 downpipe over the past few years) I'll knock off another $20. Your worst case senario is that you need to trim it slightly...the more likely scenario is that you'll just end up saving an extra $20 and have to due nothing. PM if your interested.





MadDad Ultra 52's, 52mm Performance Gauges.

We've been working on these for the past 8 months, taking all of the electronics that make the MadDad Ultra 60mm gauges so cool and feature filled and reducing it into a 52mm package while at the same time actually adding more features with the 8 months of work. The bonus feature is multi step dimming for nightime brightness. For the Amber gauges that you folks are most interested in(they are also going to be available in white/green for the standard WRX owner) that will mean you can select from 4 different brightness levels at night. Select what you like and the gauges will remember it so you don't have it set it every time. Outside of that you'll get the entire feature set of the Ultra 60mm...which means a wireless remote to set all gauge functions and do things like on demand peak recall, setting of warning points, record/play/pause playback upto 50 seconds of drive logging, turn the audible alert on/off and more. You also get the same external ports to allow for any/all of your gauges to run a larger external warning lamp in addition to the built in one, and the device port for interfacing add-ons to your gauge..like the optional turbo time or radiator fan control. The gauge face has separate visual warnings to represent you hitting your set warning point and for new peak values. Another very cool feature is the shutdown peak value display. Rather than just doing a useless shutdown needle pointer dance, when you shut down your car all the gauges will display their current driving session peak for 5 seconds, then the needles shut down. Cool and useful.

Initial inventory coming in will be for Boost, EGT, and Oil Pressure. A 3 gauge bundle of the above is going to run $475 on the pre-order. Individual gauges are $194(boost) and $249 (EGT or Oil Press). Of course the wireless remote is FREE with the 3 gauge bundle. It's $34.95 standalone. We have the faces printed for Oil Temp, Water Temp and Volt meter and will have those on our second production run. Our AF gauge is still in development. I don't have an accurate ETA at the moment but it is part of the production plan.

The green and white faced images are of the same gauge. For the WRX owner there would be no illumination during the day, and mult-step contrast illumination that can be set for night.


MadDad Carbon Fiber 52mm Gauge Pod
I have sampled many a carbon fiber gauge pod over the past couple of years from suppliers/manufactuers who say they've got a good quality offering. Well, suffice to say we've never sold a carbon fiber gauge pod over that timeframe so I guess there stuff wasn't as good as they thought, but the journey ended recently because I finally scored a small company that popped out a surprisingly nice quality piece. The fitment is excellent, the finish quality very very good, and the piece has a heft and sturdiness to it that I generally don't usually feel. I'll have these in about 3-4 weeks. Regular pricing will be $189 but a pre-order will net you one for just $144.95

I'll update shortly with pics of the pod in my car.

You'd have to bore the 52mm openings out to 60mm. Certainly doable.
