Ive read they work fine with Grp N tops, so i dunno why the stock ones would be any different?

on that note, Tony/Clint how will these go together with a set of PDE/DMS mounts ?

They have been great for me so far on group-n tophats. You shouldn't have any problems on the stockers as long as they are torqued properly.

Good to hear! Only reason I asked was I thought someone mentioned either in another thread here or on NASIOC about getting 14" drop in the rear and that'd be about it. I'm assuming the proper torque specs are included with the SSTs?

Excellent insturctions are included. I have plenty of clearance at 14" in the rear, but you could run into rubbing issues if you try and go too low. Why you would want to go any lower and screw up the suspension geometry, I don't know. These coilovers are definately not made for slamming your car, they are made to ride and perform well.

I'm all down for good instructions. I'm definately not looking to slam my car. In fact I was planning at running stock height to start out. I just saw some ppl recommended 14" up front and 13.5 in the rear to begin with.

You know what, I had things backwards. I'm at 14" in the front and 13.5" in the rears.

Ya know... I think you're right 4 Banger. I think I got my ride heights reversed.

I'm not sure what you you mean. You can vary the height of the TiCs and the RCE springs ( I have the bronze ones from the very first batch) have a set height. I wrote a review of the TiCs. Just look under the threads that I have started.

13.5" is definately ideal in the rear. I bet you were reading about someone with wider than stock tires.

I mean comparing your ride hight now, with the RCE springs ( i have a bronze set also )

I had them on Koni strut inserts, and just found the drop perfect. but now my rear tires rub a little in the turns.

Lol i know you can change the ride hight of these i was jsut wondering compare to the recommended settings

but thanks either way!

The RCEs *seemed* a tiny bit lower, but I never measured the ride height with the RCEs

Hey 4 Banger,

How long did it take you to swap struts for the coilovers? My friend has a lift so I know that'll help speed things up but I've never done this before so how long should I expect?

It took me a while because I ran into some problems with my X-brace. If it wern't for that, I probably would have taken about 3 hours.

I can swap from summer struts to winter struts in about that time too, ive done it maybe 4 times so once you memorize the torque settings on the bolts and all that its pretty fast, i think the worst part is lining up the rear top bolts one arm under the well the other making sure the bolts are in the right spot.

If you are unlucky enough to live in an area of bad winter salt/road chemicals, the struts to spindle bolts can be a bit hard to deal with. Air tools are amazing for that tho.
