I am/was about to get in on this, but this made me curious. I know almost all Subaru's consume oil, especially after hard driving, and I remember seeing on NASIOC that this will basically eliminate that problem.

Will stock block/turbo guys see any reduction in oil consumption from this?

Yes! We had to put one on our stock 08 STI at four hundred miles because it kept filling the intercooler and intake manifold with oil. The PVC valve sucks the oil out of the crankcase (as it's designed to do) and deposits it in the intake tract.

Will the TMIC work on an 08 STi? It only shows to 2007.

List updated:

kwan_1104- correct, the Crawford kit actually removes it from the vehicle.

Bownse- good Q, I'm looking into this now for you. I believe crawford is coming out with a 2008 model shortly.

Wow, this is a really neat item. The first time I have ever read about a better solution than a catch can. Has anybody reported a reduction in oil consumption as a result of installing this? I had really bad oil consumption in my 04 and the intake and IC had a decent amount of oil that started to buildup.

Crawford-

I will be putting a 30r on in the near future.

If you have any knowledge of the IXIZConcept Air/Oil separator, can you tell me why I would want to spend an extra $100 on yours? They both seem to do the same job and both come with everything you need for installation.

Here's a link to the separator:

Kevin- just about everyone that runs one of these setups sees a reduction in blow by. The ones that do not usually have a serious problem with their motor.

Fullerton- I'm going to take a stab at this, quality, craftmanship, customer service are the reasons why one product would prevail over another. For example: Look at how either fits in the engine bay. I'm not an expert on the other system, although I did watch the video of how it works. Those are my $.02.

timeless420- I'm hoping this week still. I've tried contacting Crawford multiple times since last Thursday with no reply. Last week they said all units were boxed ready to ship to our shop, and then out to the customers. I can't answer this question fully until they decide to return my phone call or emails. Sorry

It will help to reduce the oil consumption w/ just about every subaru application. Some more than others. This is since the factory system actually pumps oil back into the air intake (minimal amount, but it adds up).

*shipment update*

We have 15 FMIC units and 10 TMIC units. We will start going down the list from the date of purchase to fill orders. 25 more units are slated to arrive from Crawford late next week, at which time we will fill the remaining back orders and finally fill our shelves

Every unit that shipped out today should have had a new invoice emailed to the customer with tracking information. For the EMS guys, those are shipping out tomorrow AM.

Thank you again for your business and your patience.
