IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2005 Trader Rating: (2) | Ah awesome, that startup ceremony - while it might seem trivial, I think that's a huge perk of owning an STi. Glad it'll be an included feature, now I'm *really* interested!!!! This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (8) | I've had more than one person ask for some clarification regarding the "turbo timer" for the boost gauge. I'll give you all the long winded answer since I'm famous for those: First off the key to the turbo timer is the "external" device control port. I realize now I mislabed one of the gauge ports in the posted pic. Port 3 is used both for the external lamp control and the one time calibration(if required). Port label 4 is an external device control port that we can use for many things. Initially this port will be used to interface the aux. fan control on temp gauges, and for the turbo timer available for the boost gauge. We could come up with other things in the future such as triggering the intercooler sprayer when a certain temp is reached(that's my first plan once the gauges get out the door). When the Turbo Timer is plugged into the gauge, the boost gauge basically acts as the interface so you can set the run time once the vehicle is shut off. You use the wireless remote to set the run time by adjusting the needle pointer on the boost gauge to a particular PSI level. The time can be adjusted in 18sec. intervals from 18sec up to 270. Basically 1 PSI = 18sec so 2 PSI = 36 sec. ect, ect. The best part of it all is no extra control boxes. No control box to control gauge functions and no control box for the turbo timer. Cool. The Turbo Timer and the Aux. Fan Control will be "options" available for your gauges for $24.95. The Pre-Order deal will inlcude one of the two at NO COST. Optional external warning lamps(basically an adjustable Shift Light type lamp with stand) will be available for $19.95 . A fuel pressure gauge is also in the development plans and should be availble shortly after the initial release...but I don't want to get too ahead of myself...lets just get the initially gauges out the door ![]() Rich Rich |

| Spec C Club | I canceled my order on Ti V2s because I hated the stops during opening sweep. Now I am really interested in these... when is the ETA for production? If these are coming out in July at the latest, I'm preordering a set. |

I thought I'd show "almost" ready for printing sample of what the boost gauge will look like. This should give everyone an idea. Also we are printing the faces for : Boost, EGT, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Air/Fuel, and Fuel Pressure - all from the onset, even though Fuel pressure won't be available on the initial run it will be on the second run and we are printing the face for it upfront. I'll post all of the faces when they are done. We're trying to rush the boost to have for show and tell ASAP. The "MadDad" that is lightly screened in the background is NOT part of the gauge face. It's just there in the screen graphic for the forums. ![]() Rich |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2006 Trader Rating: (4) | Damn Rich, super clean! If the Ultra series' opening ceremony mimics that of the STi, with the needle lighting up and sweeping, then the rest of the dash lights up after, I'm totally down! Pre-orders? **EDIT** I'll ask here, because I'm almost certain there has to be someone else who has considered this. I notice you have the Autometer GaugeWorks dash mount, which is the 3 gauge pod that is angled towards the driver. Unfortunately, only fits 52mm gauges. I realize the Ultra series gauges will be 60mm gauges. Now, maybe a thought/consideration of a 60mm gauge pod that is angled towards the driver, and already comes painted to match the dash, is already in the works?! That would be sweetness!!! I understand that MadDad is very careful to keep things very nice and clean, and I will be the first one on the list if a gauge pod similar to this is created and sold. *crosses fingers* Last edited by DCH; 06-01-2007 at 12:03 AM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (8) | If your lucky enough to make it to the east coast Wicked Big Meet on Fathers day. You'll get a chance to see the full line Ultra gauges "live", for those that cannot. Here you go, the first pre-production pics(this should be final production if not damn close to it). ![]() ![]() I know I know, where is the pre-order part #. It's comign...
