Default 6MT pivot bushings *UPDATE*

I know a bunch of folks have been asking us to make the pivot bushings for the 6MT just like we have the ones for the 5MT. Our stance for the longest time was that we were going to wait and see how the 5mt versions did first. Happily, they have done well enough that we decided to go ahead with the 6MT version.

After stating that we were deluged with a number of inquiries as to when they are going to be ready. We've been answering that for quite a while that the tooling has to be done, then we then have to get the test sets in, get them out to our testers, solicit feedback, make any changes (if necessary), do a full production run, and then release them.

Well, I'm happy to announce that we are a little bit closer on these. We received our test sets last Friday, 3 out of the 4 test sets have been installed (waiting on the post office for that last set), and we are awaiting some more feedback from the testers.

Right now what I can tell you is they feel good, and once we have the "beat the snot out of them" feedback in we'll be able to take the next step.

-Clint

Hey guys - we got this video from one of our testers. Please let me emphasize this is an extreme case. His stock bushings were pretty much completely dead.

Now, one of the things that he pointed out is that he'd like to see a tighter fit of the bushings in the pivot tube. When we sized these we saw some variation from lever to lever so we went with an average size. We're going to have the bushing guys open up the mold a tiny amount to make for a tighter fit of these in there. This change should not take long to do, so we're still thinking soon on these. What this change will do is make for a tighter fit, further eliminating some slop.

My stock shifter has the same amount of slop and movement in it that that video shows with only 15k on the car. I'm starting to have trouble finding gears, its getting pretty bad. I just wish the shifter and bushings install wasn't such a PITA!

I just put these in my car yesterday with the diff mount bushings and the tranny crossmember bushings. Its amazing how a couple of peices of poly bushings change the feel of the whole car. My pivot bushings weren't that bad yet and I have 45,000 miles on my 05. It did have some side to side movement though. The install wasn't difficult, I did all these bushings in about 1.5hrs and I didn't punch out the roll pin, I unbolted the joint. Shifting is a lot more definite now and a lot more fun. I can't wait to install cusco motor mounts and the ingalls pitch stop. The powertrain will officially be put on lock down!

I have a set of the first batch (preproduction), and they imprive the shifter feel noticeably, even over a shifter with the other TiC goodies! I really wasn't expecting much of a change, but after a few days of shifting i could tell that each shift was a bit more clean than they had been previously!

Retooled bushings came in. We put a set in my car, and they feel really good. Tester sets have started to go out so we can get feedback.

Retooling testing results came back good, and I just put in an order for a full production run. You guys should be able to pick these up really soon.
