Yes... cold hard facts would be quite nice. [meaning about twin vs. single scroll] the kit itself sounds promising.

It's a guess, of course.

However, think about it. Rotated setups benefit from faster spool than their bolt-on counterparts since the intake is can be as big as you want and it doesn't have to plumb under the intake manifold. The 4" inlet's with filter's directly bolted to the turbos causes minimum vacuum.

Look at any SR50/55/57, SZ55, or AVO450 bolt-on dyno and compare it to a GT30R rotated. The rotated setup spools much faster. The GT30R's spool almost exactly the same as Green's do. As we all know, Green's spool barely slower than 20g's. So, if you were to improve spool of a GT30R with a twin-scroll setup, you should be able to hit peak #'s of a 20g at about the same speed, but have more top-end. Get it? In other words, even if a twin-scroll GT30 did spool slower than a 20g, you probably couldn't even notice the difference.

It looks very interesting. What I am looking for is a turbo that gives me a lot of top end.. Would this be a good setup? Medium range and top end.

Just a regular 30R is good enough. The twin scroll SHOULD be better in spool, but headers also take away from spool some so i'm wondering if the twin scroll and headers will cancel eachother out?
My 30R (non twin scroll) with .82ar hits full boost at ~4K, maybe a tad bit before. This is a perfectly streetable turbo with GREAT top end. I put down ~400whp on pump gas @ 22psi with a conservative tune. With a race gas tune it should be close to 500whp, with full boost by 4K, this is a great power band! If the twin scroll works well and you get better spool than what i have already, this turbo will be a BEAST.

The twin-scroll design probably does more for spool than the headers take away. Remember, Subaru uses a twin-scroll design to improve spool on their 2.0l STI's in Japan.

From my experience, there is very little lost in headers on sti's. A ton of WRX myth's work their way to the sti world, but not all are true. Headers is one of them.

The HKS replica headers that Gruppe-s and World One sell improve power on the entire power band on 2.5l's, but lose bottom end on 2.0l's. I have APS headers now, and the loss of spool isn't much, and I still have my 2.0 in my car now.

With the .78 housing and twin scroll, I think it'll do .82 #'s with a couple of hundred rpms faster in spool. Can you imagine having peak boost on a 55lb turbo at 3500rpms? :O

Yes, ATP built the turbocharger.

Just giving you a hard time, man. I was in the process of figuring out how to adapt one of the ATP twin scrolls to my APS header, and you (with your header) beat me to it (and APS too). Can't wait to see the pics and the dyno plots.

ATP just made a generic twin-scroll hotside for the GT30R/GT35R. Auto Master made it work for the STI , not ATP.
