| Authorized Vendor | Ok, so we've been really busy lately, and we'd like share the fruits of our labors. First off we'd like the announce the latest generation of fender cowl braces - the TiC Giuyngmyo Fender Cowl Braces. Beefier, a few revisions for easing installation, opened tolerances for a better fit on the GC/GM chassis, and painted in a nice lightly textured flat black. Yeah, I know the title is for 06 guys, but these fit the 04's and 05's too. I just thought I'd throw it in here to keep from post whoring too much. http://turninconcepts.com/product_in...products_id=56 Second is a brand new product that many folks have been waiting on for quite some time. The NEW 06+ Impreza Shift Linkage Bushings. Now, here's the deal on these - Subaru was mean and changed the dimensions on the 06 STi linkage. This meant that our 04-05 STi shift linkage bushings wouldn't fit. Bad, Subaru, Bad!! So we got to work on designing the new linkage bushings, and we made a discovery. The new STi design turns out to use the exact same dimensions for all 06+ 5MT linkage bushings! Good, Subaru, good! (We mention this because you STi guys probably have WRX an RS buddies). In other words if you have an 06 STi or an 06 5MT Subaru these linkage bushings will work for you car, and help to clean up a lot of that side to side slop you get as the stock bushings wear out. Now, following in the footsteps of the 04-05 bushings kits we put together some packages for you to help your shopping, and save you a few bucks. Granted, all this talk of bushings can get confusing so I put together a little picture to help explain all this: ![]() Now, on to the bundles - For the STi: We have just the linkage bushings http://turninconcepts.com/product_in...products_id=81 We have the Front Klicky Kit which gets you the Kartboy 6MT front shifter stay bushing and the TiC linkage bushings http://turninconcepts.com/product_in...products_id=83 We have the Rear Klicky Kit which gets you the Kartboy rear shifter stay bushings and the TiC linkage bushings http://turninconcepts.com/product_in...products_id=84 We have the Bodacious Bushing Bundle which gets you BOTH the Kartboy 6MT front AND rear bushings along with the TiC linkage bushings http://turninconcepts.com/product_in...products_id=82 Finally, we have the Super Shifter Set which gets you the Kartboy 6MT lever, both the front and rear stay bushings, and the TiC linkage bushings http://turninconcepts.com/product_in...products_id=85 This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Authorized Vendor | Klunk killer is the same for the 06. Hopefully a few of the testers will chime in on these. As for instructions I have updated the linkage bushing instructions on our site to include for the 06. Check them out... |

| Amateur STI Driver | OK I'll bite. I have had my linkage bushings in for about 2 1/2 weeks I guess now. My car had about 2000 miles on it. When I did them I didn't think I would notice a big difference. With just the Kartboy lever, which I installed about 2 months ago, and the 06 linkage bushings I felt the shifter had a more direct feel. Not more mechanical but more solid connection I guess I would say. Yesterday I went in and installed the rear stay bushing and the front stay bushing. I also checked all the torque settings to make sure everything was solid. Everything was good adn the shifter now feels absolutly awesome. The only way I can explain it is it feels more fluid I guess, its very smooth but still has that mechanical/connected feel to it. The only thing I have is that now the shift pattern on the top on the shifter is loose adn rattles when I don't have my hand on it. It looks like I can pop it off and resecure it though so I'm not worried about it. When I say it feels more connected I mean the shifts are solid adn you have a very defined enguagement point now as far as you can feel the shifter pop into gear. When I did the linkage bushings I didn't take the roll pin out I moved the trans and was able to get the bolt off of the selector. If anyones interested I'll give a explanation of this procedure. It took about 1.5 hours for me while trying to fix VWs at work in the mean time. Very nice and I recomend them to all. Now we just need to get piviot bushings for the guys that have excessive shifter play. I'm new to Suby but I have already seen a few cars that are suffering from this. Clint, have you tried the weight I suggested? |

| Authorized Vendor | Haven't tried the weight yet. I've had family in town, and Tony has been visiting family out of town so we haven't had much time to work on new stuff yet. I have an idea on how to just test it quickly, but I need to pick up some lead strapping to do it. |

| STI Driver | I want the super shifter set for my 06 but where do I look exactly to see the color you talk about here: If your control rod/linkage core is GOLD in color then you need the 04/05 kit. If your control rod/linkage core is dark green in color you need the 06 kit. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
