Nice work! I was surprised that your car was the fastest car around the track be a a large margin, with almost no mention.

What have you done to your STi?

Hello,
and thanks for the kind words.
I was not so surprised that they do not talk much about the STi or the EVO-MR. But,we accomplished our goal, to show people that you can have a fast car that is driven every day, beaten on , driven hard for fun, and reliable enough to still get you back home.
The article was supposed to show how the old school tuner cars perform against today's tuner cars. Well, The results speak for themselves. Especially since we went to a track that was supposed to be better for the 2wd cars. So, Considering that it was a feature on the Old School Cars, the STi did not get that much press. Maybe in the future.
We are pleased with the STi's performance, Everyone there was nice and friendly. Overall,It was a great time.

As far as Mods:
The car has some regular mods and some custom M1 parts.
The regulars:Turbo-TEC 20G-H w/50 trim impellar , 740cc Nismo Injectors,Walbro 255 FP, PDE down pipe, INjen mid and rear section.1 Cat.Fluidyne radiator, prodrive 3 port valve, the M1 custom pieces are
M1- top mount oil cooler,M1- 12 point under brace,M1- FMIC And Cold Air Intake.
And Most importantly!! a very well Tuned Ecutek by Shawn Church.
As far as power mods, that is about it.

Other than different rims and tires, this Sti is Driven Every Day!!
no suspension changes were made for the shootout.
Most of the products should be up, or coming to the website soon
any questions , please ask!

Thanks
Dennis

just read that article, your STi is very, very nice!!

and about the lack of praise for the awesome track times in scc, they love evos, make sweet love to evos and want to have evo children; they could care less if something isn't an evo. makes me mad about the totally obvious bias they have, but glad your car came out on top and looked good doing it!

Senortighto , Jim,
Thanks guys,
We Feel that everyone should be able to have a daily driver that is a monster on the track when neccessary. most of us would need to change some of the suspension settings though.I ride in that STi all the time, it is stiff ,but not unbearable as some of the full blown track cars that I have been in.

Congratulations! I just bought my first copy of SCC in over 5 years when I saw that they were using an STi to challenge those classics. I was surprised at the lack of mention that they gave the STi, considering it dominated the event. I was also surprised at their choice of cars.. A VR4 Galant over a DSM (although the EVO3 had the DSM 7 bolt layout), but no older Imprezas or anything. I was also surprised at the engine troubles that the two older Mitsus had. Overall a decent read, but a little shallow in depth.

Congrats on showing the STi's true ability against the competition!

I stopped reading that magazine once it went to the Honda crowd.
