Default NEW!!! Kartboy STi endlinks

Well, I've been hinting at this for a while now, and since Tom (Kartboy) has jumped the gun and made the announcement I can talk about these more openly. Here's his announcement:

Taking the design aspects of our great selling C shaped links for the WRX cars. I've been testing these links for almost a year on my shop FXT. Clint at TIC, Nick at Rallysportdirect and Dan at Mach V have all been running the prototype since SEMA. with excelent results. No bar walking like some of the other aftermarket ones out there. No clunking from warn out spherical bearings. We use a custom manufactured bushing made from Aerospace grade urethane for long quite use. The links are longer than the OE one to reduce the chance of bar flip with lowered cars. Heres a sample picture of the links. NOTE at this time we are waiting for the hardware to arrive. once i can package the hardware kits up the links will be avail. hopefully that will be next week.
To give you some background - Tony and I tried our hand at doing the spherical bearing links last spring, and we were not happy with how they turned out for the STi. We went to Tom and begged him to take his design for the WRX make them straight, use the same bushings, and change the length from stock a little bit. In fact, we even sent him my stock endlinks for taking measurements. The result was a package of the prototypes that showed up in June. We have been running them on the STi since then, and have been VERY happy with them. These things are beefy AND strong while still being nice an quiet. To give you an idea of how strong they are I lift a wheel at least twice a day pulling in and out of my driveway. Not a single problem. What about high load during cornering you ask - not a problem. On the stock springs and the rear bar set to stiffest setting I was regularly getting inside rear wheel lift during hard corners on various autocross courses. No problems there either. In fact, when the production ones come in we're not going to bother changing swapping out the prototypes. They are that good.

I have enough bodies in stock to do 20 sets, but I am currently awaiting hardware. Tom had to have some bolts custom made for these, and those are taking a little bit of time. As soon as I get the hardware in I will be announcing in the vendor for sale area.

I'm hesitant to do a waiting list as I have no idea how long it will be until the hardware arrives. I'm hoping soon, but I really really don't want you to get your hopes up, and then be disappointed when the bolts still have not arrived. Believe me, if it was an off the shelf bolt I'd order it up from boltdepot and have them overnighted. Sadly, since they are a custom length I can't do that.

OBTW, take a look at our better backend bundle for the WRX and RS. We'll be doing the same package for the STi.

In theory they will fit both. I can confirm rear fitment, and when they arrive I will take a set and check front fitment.

Here's some pics of the prototypes installed on my car in the rear:

I knew these were coming from our e-mails back and forth Clint! Good news! Definitely do a launch group-buy. I think you'll see a lot of interest. You can include me!

If I do a group buy I will HAVE to include a TiC part to keep the overall cost down. Kartboy has VERY strict rules, and one of them is I cannot deviate from his set retail prices. That way all his dealers get a fare shake at the market.
