Isn't this the truth. I just don't like when someone goes on the attack when they don't know what they are talking about to begin with.

If it hasn't collapsed yet, do you notice any difference in power or is it too small of an upgrade to tell either way. Also, how does it sound? A couple people on the NASIOC Forum stated it made the turbo louder!?!?!

This one won't collapse!!
It is made of metal not silicone. Yes, the turbo is very loud. With my FP Red anyway. But I like it that way. I put the inlet on with the new turbo, but I'm sure there is a gain over the stocker.

Well JDM, how was the install? Did you also do the TGV delete? For all the work of getting this APS inlet installed, I think we'd be crazy not to do the delete while the manifold is off. It seems fairly simple, remove the butterfly, motor, etc. and weld that hole shut.

I'm 90% set now on the APS inlet, 3" 20g, NISMO injectors, 1 step colder NGK...

i believe JDM did not do the TGV delete, instead he shaved something...he'll be able to explain.

He.he.he.. I was just giving you a bad time regarding the other inlet hoses collapsing. I know the pipe is metal, been following the thread for some time, just adding more B.S. to an already over-done topic . Anyway, did you have to pull the manifold for the install? Peter was saying it was a certainty but I was hoping someone found a "quick and dirty" way to do it without the time-consuming job of manifold removal.

Thanks,

Supremo

Its not that bad pulling the manifold. I can typically have one off in 15~30 mins.

That's good to hear, the instructions from the manual make it look almost too easy...

There's been several times that I've done it with customers standing around...they look away...then back..."WHOA!!! Where'd my intake manifold go?????"

Anybody know if the APS Turbo Inlet Pipe will fit a 2005 JDM STI/STI Spec C (MY06)?

Just wanted to post a couple points here. I tried installing one of the APS inlet's on my 04 WRX.

04 WRX's and later I would assume have the same flow sensor or whatever that requires you to cut piece 8 and use piece 9. I believe those are the right numbers.

And for the part that really bummed me out. The inlet will not fit under a reversed intake manifold. The way the manifold is designed one runner sits higher than the other. When the manifold has the TB facing backwards the higher runner is at the front of the car. When the TB is facing forwards now the lower runner is at the front of the car. I may be making spacers.. about 1/2" to raise my manifold so the inlet will fit.

Just to follow up, it does fit OK and can be done without removing the intake manifold (JDM STI/JDM STI Spec C)...
